Luna
Luna : Once again Bombay are experimenting with instruments and samples in this track. As the bass comes in it really gives the track a great uplifting feel. If your ever feeling down put this track on and its sure to cheer you up. The use of double vocals in the chorus really cuts through the music. This song really does have the energy of the first album but with the class of the third album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwlgC-jSPTk
Its Alright Now
Its Alright Now : Immediately from this song you get that they are experimenting with samples, as always Bombay have been great at layering and its no different in this track. Dropping instruments out and bringing others in gives a very warming feeling. It took me a good few listens to really like this song, definitely a grower. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7ZSI4-MHWg
Carry Me
Carry Me :
As soon as this song kicks in you can tell Bombay have changed and are back with something big. The chord progression is still very classic Bombay but with a new twist. The use of samples in this song is the catch the keeps you listening. Also its very intresting how they have used electronic samples in this song. Then the drums kick in with a very demanding and in your face rhythm which is supported by other instruments which in itself is a great melody. Very clever drum work indeed. As usual Jack Steadmans vocals are great with a soothing verse melody and then a huge sing a long chorus you know will just go down a treat live. When its time for the second chorus to come in it doesn't matter if your a first time listener or you know this song well you cant help but get uplifted and love this song.
